Designer spotlight: Lisette

Lisette was launched in 2011 by Liesl Gibson. Liesl has an extensive history fashion design having graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and having worked as a designer for brands including Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger.

Since 2015, Lisette patterns have been available worldwide through Butterick and prior to that through Simplicity. Lisette produces sophisticated and well written patterns for people who enjoy sewing for themselves.

Butterick 6901 and Butterick 6902

Featuring a fully lined button front waistcoat with back ties and pleated trousers and shorts with side pockets and invisible side zipper, B6901 and B6902 are right on trend. This design spans our improved sizing range from 6 to 38W. Try a matching monochrome look for an evening out or mix and match colours for a more casual feel.

Butterick 6760

This Lisette design is practical at the front and fun at the back! B6770 features a front princess seam bodice with a back wrap bodice that ties in the front. Pattern pieces for a skirt and romper are included. Try a crepe for a softer fit or a linen for more structured finish.

Butterick 6296

The ultimate PJ set pattern! B6296 features a loose-fitting button-down top with a collar and pockets as well as a pair of elasticated shorts or pants with side front pockets and a yoke back. Contrast piping elevates this set to luxury sleepwear. Try a cotton lawn in a fun print for a wonderful gift (to yourself or others!) or for something special sew this set up in a silk or satin.
