Pattern Spotlight: Plus Sizes 36-38

Patterns in the Simplicity, McCall’s, Butterick and Know Me brands include a great range of sizes – we’ve been working hard to make our size range more inclusive by including a size 38 which caters for a size 62” hip.  We’ve collated the patterns that have sizes up to a size 36 and 38 to help you when you are searching on the website.

Simplicity 9643 is a V-neck dress in three length variations with flounce. The dress has shaped bodice and short puffed or long sleeves gathered at the wrist and the pattern includes separate pattern pieces for A, B, C and D cup sizes.

Simplicity 9680 is a knit tops with asymmetric cut-out shoulder that has a sleeve variations with long gathered sleeves with bands, long straight sleeves or sleeveless.

Simplicity 9708 is a relaxed fit button front shirt with back yoke, collar and buttoned cuffs designed for woven fabrics. The pattern includes an optional breast pocketor side seam pockets

Simplicity 9717 is a co-ordinating knit top, cardigan and skirt outfit. The cardigan comes in two lengths, the pattern inclues a sleeveless pull-on top and slim skirt with zip closure includes a self-tie belt.

Simplicity 9689 is a lined waistcoat features front button fastening, mock welt pockets, and buckle set-in side seams. The trousers have font slits, slash pockets, waistband with belt loops, and centrefront seams.

Simplicity 9704 is a dress with flounced collars forming flutter sleeves, V-shape neckline, bust darts and side seam pockets. The bdodice and yoke are lined and the skirt has soft gathers at waist.

Simplicity 9686 is a lined coat and jacket with attached scarf, button front closure and pocket that comes in two lengths

Simplicity 9688 is a jacket that features a belt, shoulder pads, lining, front flap pockets, front buttons. View A sleeves feature front slash while view B features contrast collar, lapel, tie and pocket flaps.

Simplicity 9743 is a button front dresses with princess seams, inverted pleats and side seam pockets.

Simplicity 9752 is an easy-to-sew knit skirts and trousers.  The skirt features a fitted straight skirt or asymmestrical hem.  The pants are a flared hem trouser.

Simplicity 9712 is a pleated full skirts with contoured waistband, side seam pockets and centre back zipper.

Simplicity 9741 is a knit dress with dropped shoulders, short sleeves with top stitching at sleeve hem that comes in two lengths.

Simplicity 9637 is oversized stretch knit hoodie from Mimi G (check out the her full collection of designs!). View A has stitched hem sleeves and kangaroo pocket. Views B and C have cutout on sides. View B is oversized with sleeves untucked. View C is oversized with tucked back sleeves. View D is leggings with front and back center seams, and invisible zipper on the side.

McCall’s 8366 is a zip up jacket with princess seams and panels it includes a stand collar or hood with long sleeves with optional thumbholes.

McCall’s 8328 is a twist-knot knit skirts with front slit that hcomes in a straight cut in two lengths or a flared option.

McCall’s 8330 is a swimsuit set with gather details that inlcues two tops with straps, high cut bikini bottoms and one-piece swimsuit.

McCall’s 8331 is asymmetric pullover dress with cut-outs and decorative ring. There are two bodice options a draped sleeveless one shoulder or wrap-around, free sleeve all-in-one bodice.

McCall’s 8340 is a fitted twist-front dresses that has a short and long sleeve option then choose between a short skirt of centre front split.

McCall’s 8385 is a shirtdress with a collar, raglan puff sleeves and a panelling option in the side of the bodice.

McCall’s 8387 is a top with and under bust seam that features a scoop neckline, bust darts with a choice of gathered puff sleeves, juliet or long sleeves.

Butterick 6896 is an easy button front top with neck, collar and with sleeve variations for sleeveless, gathered puff sleeve with an elastic hem and three quarters sleeve with a gathered sleeve head.

Butterick 6902 is a design from our Lisette collection (part of our indie pattern designer collaborations) that is a fully lined button front waistcoat has back ties.  The trousers and shorts have pleat front, side pockets and invisible side zipper.

Butterick 6912 is a pattern for a pair of jeans that feature side-front pockets, waistband with button and buttonhole closure, back pockets, belt carriers, and front fly zipper closure.  You can choose view A which is a skinny jeans with a moderately dropped waist or view B that is a high waisted straight leg jeans. Haven’t heard of fit experts Palmer / Pletsch? Their incredible tissue fitting method might just rock your world!

Butterick 6918 is a take on a button front wrap coat with length variations has stand collar, pleats at shoulders, side pockets and waist seam to create fullness in the A line body of the jacket.

Know Me ME2002 is a set that includes a knit mock turtleneck top has sleeveless or three quarter sleeve options and has tie belt and side slits. The trouser style jeans with pleats have pockets and straight or tapered leg options.

Know Me ME2005 is an outfit that can do it all, thanks to the simple but pretty details. The top features princess seams, gathered sleeves, elasticized band and button back keyhole opening. Slim fit trousers have front pleats and waistband with back elastic.

Know Me ME2008 is a wide leg jumpsuits feature twist front detail, deep V-neck, side seam pockets and invisible back zipper. It includes options for long or short flutter sleeves and full or cropped length.

Know Me ME2013 is a knit top and skirt set designed for ponte, double knit and scuba stretch knits.  The top features square or scoop neckline and sleeve variations.  The skirt is high-waisted with asymmetrical button detail.

Know Me ME2015 is a bustier top with optional straps, boned at front and side seams. There is a pencil skirt with high slit has front crossover. The pattern inclues separate pattern pieces included for cup sizes C, D and DD.

Know Me ME2001 is a set that includes oversized lined coat has belt, sleeve bands, wide lapel notched collar and side seam pockets. It is paired with aigh waisted ankle length trousers have waistband, front and back darts, invisible side zipper and side seam slits at ankle.

Know Me ME2027 is a very wide-legged short romper or floor-skimming jumpsuit that features a large collars, three front buttons and loose fit sleeves. It has an optional fabric covered belt, side pockets and contrasting fabric detail panels through the bodice and legs.

Know Me ME2027 is a set that includes a lined crop top with separate pattern pieces in cup sizes C, D and DD. Front and back seams, optional straps, side zipper and notch detail. The bottom options are shorts and extra-wide-leg trousers are high-waisted with fly front zipper, stitched down front pleats and inseam pockets.
