Pattern Spotlight: Maxi dress

It’s the beginning of September and autumn is drawing closer, it’s time to start to thinking about adjusting your wardrobe for the new season! We love wearing maxi dresses this time of the year as it perfect for transitioning from summer into fall. A maxi dress is a long, quite often flowy dress, which usually sits just above the ankle or all the way to the floor. It can be worn casually with sandals in summer, with boots and a cardigan for winter and with heels for those special occasions.

We’ve gathered our favourite maxi dresses so you can see which style fits you best!

Pattern: Simplicity 8013.

This dress is without a doubt a showstopper! It’s an incredibly flowy 1970’s vintage design with a faux wrap front. It can be lined and made in two lengths, with either a bishop or bell sleeve. Complete the look with the added sash.
